There are ways through which an individual can settle on an ethical system that paves way for happiness. While looking at the different segments of philosophy, ethics stand out practical. Values play a role in decision making, while morality provides a guideline to solve difficult situations. An ethical system would be valueless if it is not in line with valid facts and reality. History has to its credit, various ethical teachings that operates well in certain circumstances but in other contexts, they fail catastrophically. Ethical systems are categorized in three forms namely teleological, logical, and partial. Partial ethics comprises of one or numerous precepts, which are not complex enough to establish a thought system. The wide ranges of ethical diversities held by individuals can be categorized as partial ethics. However, partial ethics are unreliable because they fail to work in all situations. Life is rather enjoyable and simple, if one knows that individuals require a methodology of thinking as opposed to a series of unconnected precepts. The logical system has a purpose of creating a morality that has a solution for everything, a method applicable to all situations without contradictions. The teleological systems aim at bringing happiness to an individual.

The three forms of ethical systems namely teleological, logical, and partial can be incorporated into a single consistent system. As earlier mentioned in this paper, life appears complicated to navigate, thus is requires a methodology of thinking that is well connected. Considering this segment, it is apparent that the three forms of ethical systems should work as a single consistent system. While partial ethics strives to establish a thought system, the logical system strives to establish a morality with all questions. In life, partial ethics are capable of evolving into logical moral systems following an obvious trend that individuals are incapable of making rational decisions based on isolated precepts. Logical moral systems appear consistent while compared to partial ethics. However, their guidelines and principles are closely related to one another. Their conclusions usually aim at space universality and time permanence. A well-established ethical system should be capable of guiding people in any situation they are likely to come across in their professional or private lives.

Immanuel Kant, a German philosopher in 1804, introduced the logical ethics system. According to him, the ideal principles that govern morality ought to be universal, recognized, and non-contradictory. Decisions appear rather virtuous only when they are elevated to universal rules for all individuals. The Kantian ethics do not only focus on a few cases, but rather, to all alternatives of personal actions. Unlike teleological and partial ethics, logical ethical system does not only provide recommendations for isolated situations, but a completed methodology of thinking. However, although the ethical systems can be incorporated into a single consistent system, they exhibit an inherent problem. They appear superior to partial ethics considering they are not contradictory although the internal consistency fails to guarantee usefulness. In the field of philosophy, teleological ethical systems appear the best while compared to logical and partial ethics.

On one hand, they operate beyond the isolated rules of partial morality, and on another level, they strive to provide a consistent and comprehensive methodology, similar to logical ethics. Additionally, teleological systems make morality appear alive by connecting it to an interesting condition called happiness. The advanced ethical systems are far beyond the ordinary ethics of life. They look at human conditions as a complicated combination of issues that requires judgment in line with general values, and designed according to personal objectives.

While incorporated into one consistent system, teleological morality based on reasoning provide a thought frame that entails all actions and decisions by individuals. This ethical system in interested in keeping individuals away from problems in addition to helping one to make the best decisions about life. The virtues closely connected to teleological ethical system include but not limited to persistence, ambition, and independence. If individuals are interested in making optimal choices, they should accommodate teleological ethical system of ethics, which is based on reasons. However, it should not be explained to mean that other ethical systems are not workable, because they assisted in testing comprehensiveness, consistency, and permanence.

Ethics is area concerned with elucidating what is wrong and what is right. Those right actions are deemed as morals. Moral are very important as they guide one in every undertaking he or she participate in. ethics are like direction that lead one to the justified actions. Despite the fact that most ethics are universal, each individual has specific forms of ethics that are unique. This section shall review my moral actions. The kinds of actions I think are moral are those that do not compromise the freedom of the other person. I shall base my discussion on the effects of our actions on the feelings. Most action taken by people might seem justified from the superficial point of view but deep inside, they are unbearable.

Most people take the consider ethics to involves physical actions such as beating and other forms of violence. They do not consider the suffering that a person can get when his or her feelings are disturbed. For my case however, moral action is that action that does not hurt the feelings of the other person. This means that feelings are very important as far as the idea of morality is concerned. Conventionally, there are many examples of moral actions. However, some of the moral actions are superior to others. I shall review some of the actions I deem important as far as morality is concerned. I believe that loving someone is one of the essential norms that can enable one act morally regardless of the situation. As far as I am concerned, love is the greatest moral value.

With love, other moral values would offshoot naturally. However, I must stress the fact that the love I am referring to is the godly love. The love that does not chose who should who should get what, how to relate to a particular individual, and what to give to specific person. This love is characterized by selflessness, inner freedom, happiness, and truth. Love is a moral action that allow one develop other moral actions such as being kind to others, treating others fairly, helping those who are in need of our assistance, caring for the elderly and the incapacitated and many others. Real love, according to me, is what god expects us to have. From biblical point of view, love was considered the greatest commandment. I therefore second it but in a different manner. That love is the greatest moral value.

However, most people do not understand what love is. The kind of love that in is people’s mind is the erotic love, the love between man and a woman. As stated, the love in discussion is the real love. One distinguishing feature between the real love and the erotic love is the fact that it is not based on the sensual experiences and pleasures. Neither is it based on the personal satisfaction. A real love only prevails when the self is not there. It exists when we suspend our feelings. According too this principle, thinking tend to counteract the existence of real love. In order words, for us to act morally, we are expected to face the situation directly.

Seeking consultation from our mind makes us act in a manner characterized by selfishness. These statements seem weird but it is true. This is because our mind based its views on accumulation as well as imitation. The mind of a person cannot perceive a situation directly unless it is free from accumulation, associations, and aspect of identity. Real love exists when there are no attachments such as accumulation, association, and identity in our mind. This is the love is the greatest moral and can guide someone towards the right directions. It ties all the moral actions together as it guide towards the right direction.

Consequently, the logical ethical system does not fit my ethical expectations. This is because logical system bases its arguments on the thinking. However, I believe that thinking makes one to rely mostly in the experience. It prevent on from perceiving a given scenario the way it is. Logical system encourages imitation. Therefore, the logical ethical system is not reliable as compared to partial system.

The issue concerning making decisions that are important is a difficult task. Naturally, man is in a constant struggle for happiness. Consequently, anything that seems good in the eyes of human being constitutes important needs. Virtually every human being wishes to own a big car; mansion ate house, huge bank accounts, and many other legitimate. However, for my case, the most important thing to me is the inner freedom. This freedom prevails only when the mind is sterile and free from the earthly accumulation. Inner freedom is a true means through which a person can get happiness.

Happiness does not come from the earthly materials such as money, cars, mansion ate and prestige. Moreover, inner freedom enables one to act in a justifiable manner. It guide one towards what is right. It is the source of love, patience, kindness, forgiveness, and tolerance. Inner freedom enables one to embrace life the way it is and in a godly manner. It enables one to act morally. It is the source of love, which in turn, is the source of all moral actions. With this freedom, issues such as greed, corruption, racialism, nepotism, and selfishness cease to exist. It guides one towards acting morally.

One thing I must mention concerning the inner freedom and morality is that, inner freedom is inherent. The person does not need to be reminded to act in a certain manner. It is also easy to acquire. Inner freedom involves suspending one’s feelings. When one’s feelings are suspended, it becomes easy for one to act according to the situation.

My main goal in life is to live and exploit my potential in this world. It is apparent that every individual was created for any given purpose or goal. However, most people do not accomplish their mission in this world. One of the reasons why most people do not accomplish their goals in this world is that they allow themselves carried by the societal waves. Most people act to impress the society. This means that their reasoning is based on the reasoning of other people from the society.

Acting to satisfy the expectation of onlookers is the greatest failure a person can ever have. It prevents the person from pursuing his or her own interest in a proper manner. Good relationship with other people is part of my goal. Relying on other people’s thinking, as most people do, prevent one from embracing the reality, it makes one lose his or her real self. I therefore wish to live according to my inner interests. Accomplishing my goal in this world is therefore my greatest wish in this world. I believe that fulfilling this goal would automatically enable me uphold the moral actions.
